Education - School - Occupation
Young people in care have the right to: equal treatment, especially regarding their training, encouragement of their potential by emotional and financial support, protection against discrimination
Especially since the educational standard considerably contributes to the social integration.

Therefore we call for the following: The prejudice against young people being put into care (that they are less intelligent and behaviourally disturbed) has to be eliminated! This prejudice does not help the single children which actually are affected, but it damages all who try their best and are constantly being underestimated or judged wrongfully.
Teachers, educators and foster parents have to be obliged to support and challenge the fostered children and young people.
Young people in care have to be motivated regarding their education so that the lowest possible school education is not the only aims of education.
The affected children have to be informed about the whole variety of alternatives in training and education and have to be allowed to make their own decision for an education regarding their ability and special liking.

As a basis for a possible success the following requirements have to be met:
Working space (room, desk) for the learner where he/she can work without disruption must be available.
Somebody must be available who helps with homework, preparation for tests etc.
Psychotherapy has to be possible and to be financed at any time in/after especially difficult situations.
Financial support for secondary education or studies even after care has to be available and easily accessible.
